This is one of my favorite places to visit in the entirety of Greater Dayton. I've visited a couple of cat cafes from Milwaukee down to here, and this is easily the best. Their creativity with the design of the cat room is simply awesome. There's a bunch of tunnels for the cats to retreat into to get to their food, there's a ton of ledges for them to climb up to and observe us meer mortals from. Including a cat-friendly Wright Flyer! What's really appreciated is that there's enough windows to watch the cats play around too, if you don't want to go into the room. Even inside the room there's enough nice seating if you want to attempt to work while a cat crawls around your legs I feel like I can't fairly judge their drinks (I'm not a coffee person), but I have always had so much joy visiting the Gem City Catfe. The crew really is the best- you can tell from how they've had hundreds of cats adopted in only seven years!

One of the hidden gems of Dayton DT. Had a good hangout time with my family and has a very balanced hot Latte. Our son liked his hot Mocha. Although outside looks of the place could be deceiving but once you step inside, it will give you a totally different experience. Worth going once at least, even out of your way. And yeah, if you are cat lover, you can have that time too. I think they might charge some extra, but will be worth anyway. Btw, besides neighborhood street parking, there's some parking in the rear as well. Enjoy ☕.

It was very cozy, and the cats were SO cuddly. Loved how calm and orderly it was inside, and loved the drinks as well. 100/10, would definitely recommend for a hang out or family day.

I love this place!! I did have one bad experience while witnessing an adopting a few years ago but I don't think that employee works here anymore. I love trying their new lattes. If you happen to order something on DoorDash that they forgot to mark as out of stock on the app, they will call you to update your order which I really appreciate. There is one girl with blonde hair that is kind of off putting/unwelcoming but I think she just makes the orders or maybe she's just shy. I love their cake pops. The parking is a little annoying if ur a new driver

The whole idea behind a Catfe is amazing to me and I’m so glad that there’s a local business that executed the premise so well!! Admittedly if you get in and don’t understand the process it could be a bit overwhelming. But pretty much you order your food, tell the cashier you want to spend time with the cats and it’ll be a $10 charge per person (they got to feed the cats somehow) and they’ll have you sign a liability waver then boom! You’re in an airlock with cats for a whole hour! Service was great and extremely helpful throughout the whole process. They’ve also got fantastic coffee so you don’t have to worry about the quality dropping from having cats around.

Gem city catfe is amazing. Tasty treats and drinks, a great art space/meeting area, and a catfe area where you can meet your new best friend or just play with the kitties waiting to meet their forever people! They take great care of their kitties, helping keep kitties off the streets through Gem City Kitties, and also partner with Gem City Vet for low income vet care needs in the Dayton area. Staff is absolutely lovely and happy to answer any questions, help you find your new favorite drink, and maybe your new best pal. Spend an hour and relax. They also have a great selection of cute small boutique gifts for the cat lover in your life! Buy a yearly membership, a cute card, a pin or t-shirt, coffee mugs, and more, all available while you wait for your coffee!

You want to escape to a cozy corner and a mug of delicious? This place is where it is at or is that cat? The cats are seperated in their own enclosed area, so no worries if you think cats will be on you. However, if you choose to, you can have that experience as well with a fee.

I take my elderly mother here every time we come home to visit and she absolutely loves it. She has dementia, and being around animals is one of her favorite things, but she can't have pets at her assisted living facility, so we always come here every visit. The staff is very kind and friendly, it's great to be able to spend time with the kitties, and the coffee drinks are lovely also! I would highly recommend!

I took my family there and we ordered drinks and spent time with the cats. Very friendly cats, the cafe is clean, well no cat hair flying around even in the closed off glass section where the cats are. Didn't smell like cats in the cat room, cats are well taken care of and also staff are so polite and helpful. The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing. They use tumbler cups which is really cool we loved that added touch. Macaroons were amazing and the blueberry muffin was perfect and moist and soft. Also the cat part is timed and so you just let them know you'd like to spend time with the cats if you wish and depending on the time they will let you know when your hour is next and there's seating as well in the cat area. I highly recommend visiting this place. We will definitely be going back.
